now that's awesome! i think the part that pulls everything together for this piece is the central-lower-left section where the bars suddenly stand out against the stark black and create a clench of detail. really, for me the focal point of this shot is right there! it also seems to emphasize the 'cageness' of the structure. in correspondence with that, it's an interesting note that such a 'cage' structure would be brought out only against the darkness: in other words, against the light, the cage doesn't look half as threatening as it does against the dark. really, the cage itself hardly even looks like a cage at all in front of the light. great range of visual and coneptual contrasts with this piece. *applause*
